Ask Dr Clay

Can’t sleep because you’re so worked up about a question that you really want the answer to? Worry no more!

If that question has to do with health & fitness, then Dr Clay can probably answer it. If not, knowing him he’ll search the world over until he finds the answer… he’s a nerd like that.

If you want your nutrition, exercise, or injury-related question answered by our resident nerd, then read on…

Note: By submitting your question you are agreeing to have your question answered on the Dr Clay Show.  Though your name and location will likely be mentioned (because it’s more interesting that way), no personal information (such as email or phone number) will be shared.

Tip: PLEASE make your question brief and concise, otherwise we will probably file it in the “stuff we’re not going to read” file.

Here’s an example of a good question: This is Tom from London, England.  If I want more muscular legs, is it really better to do squats as opposed to leg presses?

See below for an example of a bad question.

Who are you? Please include your name (first or first and last) and your location (i.e. Spokane, Washington / Mumbai, India, etc…)

Here’s an example of a bad question: Hi Dr Clay.  I watch your TV show every week and love it, even more than The Biggest Loser!  I’ve been working out on and off for about 20 years or so, and I plan on starting back soon (when my wife graduates from dental school).  When I do start back, I’m wondering what I should eat.  My goal is to lose some body fat, but then I wanna gain some muscle.  Or should I bulk up first?  If you could just tell me what to eat and give me a good workout, I’d really appreciate it.  Thanks, Dr Clay!  John Rambler from Confused, Iowa.

You get the idea?  We are not trying to be mean (in fact we’re really nice people), it’s just that we don’t have time to sort through all that to try to find the question.  And if we did find that question, we’d see that John wants a complete nutrition & training program!  Is that all, John?  Don’t you want us to send Dr Clay to Iowa to train you one-on-one and cook for you, too?!
